Description

Join TAP-Chicago on September 16, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a seminar on public speaking and leaderships skills. Learn how to overcome anxiety and become a confident speaker, no matter the audience and subject matter. In addition to improving our skills, we will discuss creation of an ongoing public speaking and leadership training program. Registration is free through September 12 and only $5 afterward. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Wine and beer are complementary, but please tip your bartender! All tips will go towards funding a public speaking and leadership training program for TAP-Chicago.

Cynthia Leggett will lead the seminar and detail her journey in becoming a better speaker and surmounting personal challenges. Cynthia is the current Vice President of Education and Past President of HHS Toastmasters. Cynthia has served as Central North Division Governor and is the recipient of the Distinguished Toastmaster Award as well as the Area Governor of the Year Award. Toastmasters International is the world's largest non-profit organization dedicated to improving public speaking. With over 15,000 clubs in 135 countries, Toastmasters helps more than 332,000 members develop their communication and leadership skills.

This event is made possible by the generous support of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP www.taftlaw.com. Again, please note that this event is being held at the Chicago office of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, LLP, located at 111 East Wacker Drive, Suite 2800 (Intersection of Michigan and Wacker).
